In this article, I’ll discuss how to best get rid of unsightly blackheads, an especially difficult form of acne to get rid of. Unlike various articles you may see, I will argue that it should not popping pimples.

First, you need to clean your face. This should be done with a facial cleanser, not soap. Why? Soap can get into your pores and clog them further, causing bacteria to build up inside your skin and lead to even worse breakouts. Instead, use an oil-free cleaner. This must also be done very gently. If you rub your face, it will create small cuts that can become infected and cause even more acne. Instead, just wash gently.

Second, you must vaporize your skin. What does this mean? By steaming your skin, your body will naturally soften your skin and open your pores. How do you do this? There are different ways. One way is to apply a warm cloth to the area you want to clean. The evaporation of the hot water will open your pores. However, the easiest way is to simply take a warm shower for about fifteen minutes. The showers are steamy and vaporize your skin better than any other treatment.

Next, you shouldn’t pop your blackheads. Popping pimples is bad for a number of reasons. First, because you’ve just opened up all of your pores, you’ve just created a smorgasbord for acne to re-enter your skin. You may have gotten rid of one pimple, but you have created two more. Second, it can leave scars. It is very easy to leave scars on the skin when you start to break out your own skin. It is best to simply avoid the risk.

Instead, now take a facial “pore cleansing” strip and apply it to your moistened pimple. Press on the pimple to make sure you catch it and remove it (different markings have slightly different directions, so be sure to follow them exactly). This safely pulls out your pimple while capturing infectious bacteria.

Congratulations! You now have fewer pimples.
