I’m sure most of you have heard of Apple’s new iPhone and all the different features it has to offer, so I’ll spare you the details. What I am going to share with you are the top ten apps which I enjoy and use daily.

one. ZenBe Lists – This is a to-do list app that allows you to itemize your daily tasks. The app features a minimalist green user interface, extremely functional features, and a free price tag. I consider ZenBe Lists to be above and beyond other to-do list apps, which is why I chose it as part of my daily apps.

two. NetNewsWire – Sorting my feed list is much more efficient on the iPhone than it is on the web. That’s where NetNewsWire is so useful; this app is an RSS reader just like its iPhone-only parent Newsgator. So if you like to enjoy the news, be sure to check out NetNewsWire.

3. Scintillation – This is a great Twitter app. If you wonder what a twitter is, don’t feel too bad. Twitter is a website that allows you to post short updates about your daily life (“I’m home at Appcraver watching this new game and then I’m off to the market”) to your friends and people who want to follow you. So what’s so special about Twinkle? Well, the main differentiator is that it knows your location. Take advantage of iPhone GPS and add your current location to all your tweets! You can also keep track of nearby twinkles.

Four. Facebook – It seems that nowadays everyone is obsessed with checking their Facebook; well at least i am. This app makes it easier; gives you one touch access to all your friends, your profile and inbox. You can even ping anyone online and start chatting instantly. The best part is that you have immediate access to your Facebook inbox and you don’t have to log in every time. Oh, and did I mention it’s free?

5. Shazam – This totally free app is a lifesaver! Have you ever heard a song you loved so much, but didn’t know the name or who the artist was? Well, with this app you can solve that problem once and for all. All you have to do is hold the iPhone in front of the music that is playing and press the “Tag Now” button. Shazam does the rest! A couple of seconds later, it will return the artist name, album cover, and song name right to your iPhone.

6. Pandora – This next app is great for parties or when you want to play music but don’t want to take over the songs. All you have to do is type in the name of a band, and Pandora will create a personalized “radio station” around that band, including songs by the band itself, as well as songs that “sound like” that artist. Pandora is an amazing music discovery app, pick a channel and let Pandora be the DJ.

7. Bloomberg – Finally, a finance app that I can use to stay constantly up to date on markets around the world. Bloomberg offers news, stock quotes, company descriptions, high-performing companies, price charts, market trend analysis, and more. Although it is sometimes painful, I enjoy following my list of actions. You are probably wondering how much this type of app costs, well, it is free.

8. AOL Instant Messaging – AIM for iPhone is a great product and works as expected. But it has a drawback that tends to annoy me. Unless the app is open, you won’t be alerted when you receive a message. I don’t know about you, but when I receive a message, I want to be notified instantly. With the iPhone it presents a problem because from now on you can only have one application open at a time.

9. Films – The new Movies app lets you search for showtimes at local theaters, view movie details, and watch movie trailers. There is not much to complain about this app, it was well designed and pays a lot of attention to detail. What’s amazing about this, aside from the free price, is that it was developed by a college sophomore who sold it to Flixter.

10 Calendar – Number ten on my list goes to the Calendar app. You’re probably thinking, “Wait, doesn’t that come with the iPhone?” The answer is yes, it comes with the iPhone, which is probably why it’s such a good app to start with. I use this calendar every day to manage my schedule, after this app I just refuse to go back to my old desktop schedule.
