The scriptures and holy books have many examples of prayers, which teach us to believe in the existence of God and to count on him. The Jabes prayer is one of those prayers.

Jabez’s prayer is mentioned in the Bible. But their approach is completely different from how we make requests of God. The prayer is divided into the following four parts:

· Left: In the first part, Jabes asks God to bless him. He recognizes that only God has the power to bless, and he is the only one who has divine powers. He recognized who God is and believed that God will make his life beautiful. This says that we should always pray from the heart and have faith in the power of blessings.

· Part ii: In the second part, Jabes asked God to multiply his territory. Now this can be seen in two ways. Some say that Jabesh asked God to enlarge his land. While others say that he asked God to increase his portion of spiritual territory. He wanted to get closer to God. When you pray, ask God to give you the ability to serve more, rather than ask for more riches.

· Part iii: In the third part, he asked God to stay with him. Jabes wanted God to take him by the hand and guide him in the right direction. With God by his side, he wanted to feel safe and secure. When we pray, we often ask for materialistic benefits, or an unfavorable situation to overcome, but rather we should ask for the hand of God who will turn everything bad into good.

· Part iv: In the last part of his prayer, Jabes asked God to protect him from harm and free him from pain. The meaning of the name Jabes is “born with pain”, and we are all born with pain and suffering written in the kitten of life. Jabes wanted to be free of this, in this way we can also ask God to free us from the entanglements that create suffering.

The Jabez prayer encourages Christians to understand the power of prayer. One must follow the Jabez prayer among other prayers in the Bible to create one’s own way of praying. Remember, there are no hard and fast rules or spells to enchant in order to make God’s wishes come true. He is not a genius who takes orders; he is a part of you that listens to sincere and passionate desires.

Prayer is a great asset that God has given to his children. Through prayers, we can surrender ourselves to God and all his wills for our lives. To that end, may we all learn to pray with modesty, faith and the hope of blessing Jabesh.
