Most children are naturally picky eaters, and most of them do not like fruits and vegetables. Like you, many parents worry that their little ones aren’t getting enough nutrition in their daily diet. But try and try, and sooner or later you will communicate with them. Start small and introduce healthy snacks!

Kids love sweets and giving them delicious fruit snacks is a great way to start their journey to healthy eating!

Try these delicious fruit snacks for kids:

mini fruit pizzas

What do you need:

  • 4 medium whole wheat tortillas
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 strawberries, sliced
  • 1/4 cup canned mandarin oranges, drained and cut into smaller pieces
  • 1/4 cup blackberries, quartered
  • 1/4 cup kiwi, peeled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup green grapes, quartered
  • 3/4 tablespoon fresh orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon of honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Mix yogurt, honey, vanilla extract, and orange juice in a bowl until ingredients are well combined. Set aside. Using a small round cookie cutter, cut circles out of the wheat tortillas. Spread each circle with yogurt mixture and top with strawberries, tangerines, blackberries, kiwi and grapes.

Serve as is or refrigerate for 10 minutes before serving if your little one wants a cold treat!

What do you need:

  • 7 raspberries
  • 7 strawberries, shelled
  • 7 tangerine segments
  • 7 cubes of peeled mango
  • 7 pieces of peeled pineapple
  • 7 pieces of peeled kiwi
  • 7 green grapes
  • 7 red grapes
  • 14 blueberries
  • 7 wooden skewers

Thread the following onto each skewer: 1 raspberry, 1 strawberry, 1 tangerine, 1 mango cube, 1 pineapple chunk, 1 kiwi chunk, 1 green grape, 1 red grape, and 2 blueberries. If you prefer, chill the fruits for 10-15 minutes in the refrigerator beforehand.

Fruit and Nut Yogurt Bowl

What do you need:

  • 1 banana, sliced
  • 2 handfuls of frozen berries of your choice
  • 1 cup vanilla yogurt
  • 3 tablespoons chopped mixed nuts
  • 1 tablespoon pumpkin seeds
  • 1 tablespoon sunflower seeds

Layer in a bowl with the banana slices, berries, yogurt, mixed nuts, pumpkin seeds, and sunflower seeds. Chill in the refrigerator at least 10 minutes before serving.
