It’s very easy to get distracted when you have so many ideas flowing through your head. Your heart keeps racing because all the ideas feel so good, and you just want to see them materialize. While we are all powerful and have infinite potential, we are still limited by time and the physical world, so keeping a sharp focus on key projects and getting them through to completion is very important if we want to bring our ideas to life in the future. opportune moment. way.

I will be the first to admit that it is very easy for me to lose focus and disperse. In a moment, I can laser focus on a particular project that I am working on. Then all of a sudden 3 ideas pop into my head, and they all seem very exciting and from the surface level these ideas seem like they will lead me to my goals. When you know who you are, you know that you have immediate access to an infinite source of intelligence, so it is easy to “download” information by obtaining those flashes of information or intuitive accesses.

Sometimes I find it difficult to contain all this excitement and energy, and it is easy to deviate from the project that I am working on right now. So what do I do in these situations?

It took me a long time to create a simple system that keeps me focused and grounded in the moment. A key skill that I learned to develop (and continue to develop) is discernment. How can I discern what information, insight, opportunity, or flash of inspiration will benefit me NOW and what will benefit me LATER?

I keep a notebook, which I divided into two sections. The first section I titled “Relevant to NOW” and the second section I titled “Explore later.” When an idea pops into my head, or my heart races when I have an “Aha” or a moment of inspiration, I ask myself, “Is this information going to help me NOW? Or can I save it for later?” Once I get the answer to those questions from my inner voice, I mark that information in the appropriate section of my notebook.

For example, I am currently working on a marketing project for a real estate investor. Yesterday, I received 2 amazing ideas that occurred to me. One idea was a video marketing campaign to highlight real estate deals, and the second idea was related to marketing outside of real estate. Both ideas are in line with my overall goals, but what should I do with them? Since my video marketing idea was related to my current project, I wrote it down in my “Relevant for now” section and knew I needed to take action on it. While the other idea was interesting, I saved it in my “Explore Later” section. That way, I can always come back to him and at the same time thank the Universe for a great idea.

If I hadn’t written the second idea in my “Explore Later”, I would have been so tempted to start researching that other idea and pay less attention to my current project, that it could easily scatter my energy.

Many may disagree with me and say that when you get something from the Universe, you should jump on it immediately. My argument is that you should use your heart and listen to your inner voice to discern what is important for now and what is important for later.

It may be that on a subconscious level, you are not clear about exactly what you want, which is why the Universe is responding with so many different things that it simply reflects your lack of clarity. There is nothing wrong with this. But by practicing the art of discernment, you are clarifying what it is that you want and taking immediate action on that idea or opportunity relevant to what you want in the NOW. This sends a much clearer signal to the Universe, and the Universe will respond in the same way with more opportunities and circumstances that are in line with what you want.
