When it comes to As Seen On TV products, the Belly Burner has to be the perfect product. He identifies one of the most insufferable problems people face and offers a simple solution. If it works, millions of units will be sold and America will be fit as a fiddle. What could be more perfect?

I must first say that when I saw the Belly Burner commercial I was very skeptical, but the manufacturer was careful not to make too many outrageous claims. The premise makes sense if you listen carefully and avoid the ad’s statuesque fitness model. The idea is that warming up your body’s core temperature will speed up your metabolism and burn more calories during workouts.

The above statement is very important. Contrary to my initial hopes and dreams, the tummy burner is not meant to work for you. You can’t just put it on and melt off the pounds. So this As Seen On TV product isn’t a miracle, but that doesn’t mean it won’t work. The Belly Burner commercial clearly states that this training belt should be worn during exercise and will improve your results.

Having said that, I think Belly Burner, again if it works, is a great thing. If I can slap it in the face and go for a walk, jog, or run and burn more calories doing it, then it’s worth the money. I looked it up but couldn’t find the Belly Burner in stores so I ordered online and got and took advantage of the 30 day trial offer. The offer states that you get the abdominal belt for 30 days for only $7.95 shipping and handling and if you are not completely satisfied, you can return it but you have to eat the $7.95. Now, I know what you’re saying. “Has anyone been completely satisfied with the As Seen On TV exercise equipment?” Well the answer is yes. If you have high hopes but reasonable expectations, you can find products that work for you. I am living proof.

So keep that in mind as I review the product because unlike the wild late-night ads, I look for products that help me get in better shape than if I hadn’t used them at all. I had high hopes for the Belly Burner and after using it for a few weeks I can say this. I certainly felt some heat in the area below my belt.

I couldn’t verify if my metabolism increased because I used it, but I suspect I was actually more diligent in my training because of its presence. I will say that wearing it while doing exercises that require a lot of bending and lifting was a bit uncomfortable, so I would recommend wearing it mostly during aerobic activity.

I decided to keep it because it was not an expensive item and my body reacted more or less as the commercial said. I must report that I am not overweight and only have about 1.5 inches to “pinch” into my waist, so I didn’t have much weight to lose. So for that reason I am not here to say that Belly Burner was a miracle for me, but it very well could have helped me.

My recommendation is that if wearing this ab belt encourages you to work out harder and longer, then it will benefit you. If you expect to put it on and use it as a back support and expect it to burn calories while sitting in front of the computer, then it’s not for you.

Like most As Seen On TV products, the Belly Burner is included as part of a program to increase the benefit of purchasing it. In this case, celebrity trainer Bobby Waldron encourages you to win the belt by providing a calorie counter and a special exercise DVD to help you maximize the benefits of it. The program is called Blazing Abs DVD and it is quite challenging. The food diary is something I could do without, but the whole package tells me that if you eat right and exercise, you’ll get results from the Belly Burner. If strapping on helps you do that, then consider purchasing the product.
