Kim Roach is known in the internet marketing world as the “traffic queen.” She started out in affiliate marketing and later specialized in website traffic generation.

He recently compiled 20 of his best traffic methods and packaged them into a product he called “Traffic Dashboard.” It was a product that was the culmination of their 3+ years of solid traffic work, experimentation, case studies, and “last click” tracking. She prides herself on being a “test fanatic.”

She says that her methods can drive traffic to her site “tonight” and not “6 months later.”

One of the modules there is “How to go from nothing to 3000+ subscribers in just 30 days”. She calls it the “30-day lightning bolt.”

It’s a case study on how to build a targeted list of 3,000 subscribers in 30 days if she were the one to do it, starting from scratch!

I describe here how I would do it.

First, the prerequisites:

1. You must provide a budget of at least $500.

Oh!

Did I hear someone exclaim? But yes, you read that right. Budget at least $500. Well, I have to give her credit for being honest with this one. But listen, isn’t time money? For that amount, she says you’d be shortening 6 months of hard, but not guaranteed, SEO work. Well, the skeptic would say: spending $500 does not guarantee that I will get the projected results either. Right.

But… would you rather wait 6 months to find out if you were right? If you break it down into dollars, $500 divided by 6 months equals $83.33 per month. It costs $4.16 per day for 5 days a week, 4 weeks a month. And if you work just 4 hours a day at your business, that works out to $1.04 an hour. Now let me ask you.

How much is your hour worth?

2. You must have prior knowledge of the traffic methods involved. But don’t worry because his course guides you step by step.

Second, the “bait”.

You’ll allocate two days to create a report that addresses the “pains” or “pleasures” of your target market. In this case study, she chooses her favorite niche, the “Internet Marketing” (IM) niche.

Package this report in a PDF document. This report will be your “give”, when you ask people to subscribe to your list (your “get”). It is also more commonly called “ethical bribery”, in exchange for the name and/or email address of your targeted subscribers.

Three, the process:

1. “Solo ads.” Pick an ezine in your niche that accepts “solo” ads. This is paid advertising. Allocate $200-$300 for this. She identifies a resource that makes it easy to select an appropriate ezine.

The result of this campaign is a “seed” list.

With a “seed list”, you can supercharge your campaign.

In the instant messaging niche, you can go to the Warrior Forum (WF), the largest and most respected instant messaging forum, where “vets” and “noobs” mingle. You can use the following opportunities.

2. Warrior Forum Banner Advertising – You pay to advertise your banner ($100/day)

3. Free WSO (Warriors Special Offer) – Offers your report for free ($37 fee)

4. Warrior Forum “War Room” – WF’s paid membership section. Here you can find JV partners who are actively seeking business with fellow warriors (eg ad exchanges, listing exchanges, banner ads)

5. Ad Exchanges – This is where your seed list comes into play. You find a partner who will post your ad in exchange for theirs.

Kim lists 3 more methods to complete her 30 day blitz. But I will not discuss them here.

My review:

1. Kim’s choice of methods, while quick by his standards and experience, requires cash up front. Therefore, this limits the methodology to those who have the “money to burn”, in exchange for the time saved.

2 Requires a solid working knowledge of the methods involved. If you’re just starting out, this can be quite a challenge. (She assures you, however, of the support of her hand).

3. Due to the above two reasons, your 30 day blitz methods can do it. or not be appropriate for you, depending on your circumstances.

However…

An astute entrepreneur will learn a lot from your approach. He will “mix and match” whatever works for him.

Remember that what she shares is a collection of proven methods that she discovered herself.

For that alone, it saves you a number of mistakes you’re bound to make, and thus increases your chances of getting things working the first time.

Remember the saying: succeed by “failing your way to success.”
