Hugging is a miracle. Hugging is completely natural; It’s organic, naturally sweet, pesticide-free, fat-free, carb-free, preservative-free, artificial or genetically modified, and 100% healthy.

Hugging is virtually perfect. No batteries to die, no periodic checks, low power consumption, high energy performance, inflation proof, no monthly payments, no insurance requirements, theft proof, non-taxable, non-polluting, warranty may be included money back and last but not least, fully returnable.

There are fourteen different types of hugs:

or Side to thigh

or back to front

or shoulder to shoulder

bear

or cheek

or custom

o Grabber-squeezer

Cluster

Guess who

or heart to heart

or sandwiches

or side by side

or above the head

Spoon

Each of these basic types of hugs has many variations.

Virginia Satir, family therapist, through research has concluded: “We need four hugs a day to survive. We need eight hugs a day to maintain ourselves. We need twelve hugs a day to grow.”

Many spiritual gurus, like Mata Amritanandmayi, hug their disciples a lot, perhaps to transmit divine energy.

Many people feel embarrassed or uncomfortable when hugged, but Satir’s advice is to keep offering hugs because they will surely feel good afterwards and may even feel grateful to you. When you feel the need to be hugged, ask for one. Any place is good enough to hug: home, office, school, church, a party, a conference. See my article: I Give Hugs (http://ezinearticles.com/?I-Give-Hugs&id=343721). You may feel uncomfortable hugging, for example, at work. In that case, a more intimate setting, like at home with friends or at a party, fits your style.

If it’s not twelve, have you had eight hugs today?
