If you know anything about Kanye West, you know there’s usually a media circus around him, or something he’s done, or something he’s said. While he was known in the past as someone who hated Twitter (and certain presidents), people sometimes forget that he’s actually a good musician. I don’t know if he would give him the title of poet yet, but he might be on the way. (As a side note, I’d love to see a serious book of poetry published by Yeezy. I bet it would sell.) But back to the new Kanye West album.

If you haven’t heard, a few months ago it was leaked that it was going to be called Good Ass Job. I’m starting to think it was him having fun with the media or using it to generate buzz about his new album even before the name was released. And now? Well, K West has signed up for Twitter, a place he hated in the past. One of his first tweets was: “The album isn’t called ‘Good Ass Job’ anymore. I’m bouncing a couple of titles now…” he wishes he could see the look on his face when he wrote that. Was it all in jest to get some media exposure?

Whatever the reason for changing the name of Kanye West’s new album, fans around the world are eagerly awaiting the rumored September 14, 2010 release date. In the days and months to come, you can expect many, many jokes and misinformation about the new Kanye West. It is always better to check their official websites for the latest information on Kanye West. Now that’s easier than ever since he’s tweeting, a lot. Not all tweets are in caps, which is a good thing.

It remains to be seen if Kanye is going to focus on music once again and put out an album in 2010 that’s better than anything he’s done in the past. However, when he considers the work he has already done, he can see how big this task really is. One thing is for sure. If Kanye West is half as good at music as he is at marketing and using big media for his benefit, the new album will be out of the woods. However, since the first single, Power, which was released, it seems that Mr. West can blend his politics and personal life even more deeply into his music.
