Women are starting new businesses in the US at breakneck speed, and the need for new social networking sites for women has increased significantly. Currently, only 16% of the total number of American small businesses are owned by women. A recent report released by The Guardian Life Small Business Research Institute projects that women-owned small businesses will be responsible for creating a third of the 15.3 million new jobs projected by the Bureau of Labor Statistics for 2018. The Institute expects that women-owned small businesses will create between 5 and 5.5 million new jobs in the US by 2018.

Wow, so what is a good way for women to accelerate the growth of their own small business? Many find that joining a women’s social network can be a fantastic way to not only find support from other working women, but also to network with people who may become potential investors, employees, friends, vendors, and business partners. There really is no limit to the types of connections you can make within the new social networking sites for women.

Women across the country find themselves trapped in positions they cannot bear. In other words, “they’re angry and they’re not going to take it anymore.” Because there are also more resources than ever available to women who want to start their own businesses, women are doing just that.

A social network specifically geared towards businesswomen is a great place to find like-minded women who want to help you out, offer guidance and support you with one-on-one mentoring if that’s something you need. A network full of other women striving to do the same can be the perfect place to brainstorm new ideas and share tips and resources.

One of the added benefits of socializing in this way is that you could run into women who could offer you the next exciting business opportunity or potential partnership. Many great business relationships have emerged from social media. Before you begin your networking journey, there are a few questions to ask yourself first.

What kind of business are you looking to grow? What are you passionate about? What are your own strengths and weaknesses? What partnerships do you need to form and what tasks can you delegate? What resources do you currently have and what else do you need to get? What kind of mentor could help you at the stage you are currently in?

There are some new social networking sites for women; just go online and search social media for women. There are sites full of powerful, inspiring and confident women willing to share ideas, advice and strategies with each other who are genuinely interested in seeing all women succeed.

Maybe you just have an idea for a new business, or you’ve started your startup but aren’t seeing the results you hoped for, either way you’re not alone. There are sophisticated networks of coaches, mentors, and support for all the questions a businesswoman has.

Whether your questions are about business and the world of work, or about money, family, marriage, health, or many other topics close to a woman’s heart, you’ll find synergistic women willing to chat.
