Soccer juggling tricks … today’s official name for this is called “Football Freestyle”. Freestyle is all about skills while holding the ball in the air. People have always been fascinated by juggling skills. In the 90s, some people took this to a higher level. Juggle all parts of your body, juggle while sitting and even when lying down.

When one of the pioneers of this “circus” style was Mr. Woo. A very famous freestyler who used to play professional soccer. I wanted to take juggling skills to a new level. Mr. Woo could do things with a soccer ball that no one else could. He worked with many professional soccer players doing commercials. He also worked with many large companies, not just soccer-related companies. Freestyle attracts attention, which is why people wanted to see more and more.

At the beginning of the 21st century a new era of freestyle was born, which would later be called “the era of aerial movements”. People started doing tricks with their feet spinning around the ball. One of the first air freestylers was Soufiane Touzani. This guy released a freestyle video back in the day that attracted a lot of people to freestyle.

Palle, a boy from Sweden took freestyle to another level around 2005. His skills belong to the aerial movement section, but he started not doing tactile tricks. There are basically no touch tricks when you do a trick and then go straight to another trick without a touch in between. This was something that had not been seen before and it became very popular. This variation of aerial movements is very difficult, but some people master the art of no-touch tricks.

This is pretty much where freestyle is 2007. At some point there might soon be new people arriving who will break the boundaries of freestyle and create a new era of freestyle. Only the future can tell!
