Would you like to know if your ex still loves you? Well, just take this scientific quiz developed to help you find out if he or she hasn’t lost this special feeling for you. Why do I say that he is a scientist? It’s scientific because it’s based on different scenarios told by couples who successfully reunited after a breakup and, unfortunately, by those who didn’t do as well trying to patch things up.
I have met this test from my years of experience as a relationship counselor who has worked with couples through thousands of breakups and reconciliations. Scoring is based on a rating scale from 0 to 100 with 70 and above to pass, or meaning that yes, your ex loves you.
Of course, there are no guarantees of its accuracy in all cases, because some pairings simply did not form in the usual mold. Still, it’ll give most of you a good idea if there’s still anything in there.
So if you’re ready, here’s the proof.
1. Do you feel like you ever really loved your ex?
2. Now answer honestly! You still love him?
3. Your intuition; does he/she love you?
4. Since your breakup, has your ex made any lifestyle changes that you wish they had made when you were together? For example, lose weight, quit smoking, make a budget.
5. Has your ex suggested that you two stay friendly with each other?
6. If you answered yes to question 5, did it happen the night of the breakup? If you answered no to question 5, go to the next question.
7. If you answered yes to question 5, did he/she try to send you the “we’re still friends” message some time later, even weeks later?
8. Was the break up due to an argument or a series of arguments you had rather than a friendly, thoughtful or planned goodbye?
Answer Yes to Question 9, Question 10, or Question 11, or answer No to all 3, but do not answer Yes to more than one of these 3 Questions. In other words, after you have answered Questions 9, 10 and 11, you will have answered No to at least 2 of them.
9. Has your ex made an effort to send you the message that you are doing great now, even if you didn’t ask?
10. Does your ex give you the impression that he is doing as well as you after the breakup? not much better, not much worse?
11. Has your ex told you or did you get the message that life sucks without you? For example, I’m terrible, I’ve never felt worse, etc.
12. Has your ex communicated messages through friends that would make you think that he is trying to impress you? Note: these messages would not just be that he wants to talk to you. They would be more like “I just got a big raise!”
13. Does he owe you money or material goods and has not offered to return them or pay you?
14. As things are right now, would you like to get back together with your ex?
