This song crawl made my wife say that maybe Chris Brown is trying to apologize to all his fans for the situation that happened between him and Rihanna. The song is personal to him because of the way it sounds and the lyrics it spits out. This is one of my favorite makeup songs of modern times.
Chris Brown, Swizz Beats and Lil Wayne – I can transform you
Chris released this bluntly black-clad song and video with a vengeance. I was surprised to see it all in black with the grunge look. He and the other artist broke up this song, I think it was supposed to come out with the movie Transformers: Rise of the Fall, but due to the little situation, things were delayed. This would have been the song of the year, but it will come down to just that one song.
Jay-Z and Alicia Keys – Empire State of Mind
Jay Z and Alicia Keys did an amazing job of putting New York back on the map with this great song, almost right up there with New York New York by old blue eyed Frank Sinatra. Lots of people sang this song and those in NY were proud to have it on the radio. Some artists were so proud that when Jay Z and Alicia performed live, Little Moe came on stage and posed with them. Wow, if only they did a song about Chicago “Security Kanye is not to enter the room.”
Jay Z, Rihanna and Kanye West – Run This Town
Run this town was a hit and used at my youth soccer teams homecoming, my son fell onto the field while they were running. That song made you want to raise your fist and try harder to show how well you are doing in your training. This song is going to be a hit in the near future, and once teams start hearing these lyrics, the song will be played in heavy rotation at many ballparks.
Drake and Trey Songz – Hits
I didn’t know who this Drake guy was until this summer when I was at a cookout and my brother-in-law played the raw version of the song. You should have seen the look on adults’ faces when it happens. He quickly put on the clean version and the party continued. This song is the one that got him on the chart and made him successful in the eyes of many artists and fans.
50 Cent and Ne-Yo – Baby by me
When I heard this song I said this guy is crazy, I can’t have a baby in your fifties, it’s impossible, I’m a man. But he is really telling women the truth, have a baby with him and child support will come. You, this song is catchy, it tells a true story, I hope the tigers wife is listening to this right now, because she will be a millionaire, if not already.
Usher – Papers
Tiger, this song is for you, for all the other women you slept with because your wife was giving you too much drama. Usher blasts his ex in this made-for-radio drama. He should have listened to everyone around her, so he says it in his lyrics. Tiger sees 50 cent baby next to me.
r kelly and keri hilson – number one
Back on the scene fresh out of county jail is R Kelly with this great song called Number One. He came back on the scene like he never left and with a cool chill song. His co-artist on this album stands her ground, reminds me of the duet he did with Sparkle.
Mario and Gucci Man – Separation
The kids love this song as I play it in the car, you can hear them in the back seat saying “Gucci, you don’t love me.” This song is a car song, which will make your grandmother shake her head. The man asks the woman why you leave me and she replies that you don’t love me.
New Boys & Ray J – Tie Me Up
Ray J is the perfect person to sing the chorus to this song, with his show and all the pretty women on it, he’s not ready to be tied down. This new group is definitely going to be hot in the future, the lyrics are strong and true, well some of them. I’m sure you’re talking about a committed relationship and not the rope in the closet tie down.
